Lluís Reales

He has a degree in Information Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a higher studies diploma in Communication Psychology from the same university.

Since October 2009 he has directed and presented the "Respira" programme on Barcelona Televisió. From 2001 to 2009 he directed the "Einstein a la platja" programme, dedicated to issues in science, the environment and health. Since September 2004 he has been an associate professor of science journalism at the Faculty of Communication of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

From 1987 to 1998 he worked as a science journalist at La Vanguardia, where he managed the supplement on science and health. From 1998 to 2001 he was director of communication for Spain and Portugal at the Japanese technology company Epson.

Since 1991 he has directed the magazine Medi Ambient. Tecnologia i cultura published by the Ministry of the Environment and Housing of the Government of Catalonia. In 1996 he cofounded the Grup de Periodistes Digitals (Group of Digital Journalists, GPD). He has authored different books on technological and environmental topics. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ateneu Barcelonès (Barcelona Athenaeum).
