Roundtable on the exhibition: "Picasso/Dalí. Dalí/Picasso"
Picasso/Dalí. Dalí/Picasso: Counterpoint

Friday 20 March at 7 pm

The relationship between Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí was one of the decisive meetings in 20th-century art. Although these artists have often been seen as mythical, stylistically self-driven figures with diametrically opposing political views, they had a remarkable impact on each other. This roundtable will explore the different artistic counterpoints presented in the exhibition.

Panellists: Montse Aguer (director of the Centre d'Estudis Dalinians, Fundació Gala- Salvador Dalí), Lucía García de Carpi (Doctor in Art History, Universidad Complutense de Madrid), Jèssica Jaques (Professor, Aesthetics and Art Theory at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and Joan M. Minguet (Professor, Contemporary Art and Film History at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona).

Moderator: William Jeffett (curator of the exhibition and Curator of Especial Exhibitions at The Dalí Museum, Saint Petersburg, Florida).
