Picasso and Reventós: A correspondence among friends
Picasso lived the most important stage of his artistic formation in Barcelona. But in the city he didn't only learn the secrets of his trade and perfected the techniques, but he also got to know some of the friends who would accompany him for a good part of his life. Ramon and Jacint Reventós were two of these friends.

In its constant contribution to the knowledge of aspects of the trajectory of the artist which have been little studied until now, the Museu Picasso ―coinciding with the presentation of the exhibition «Picasso and the Reventós», has decided to publish the correspondence that Picasso maintained with these two good friends. The specialist Marilyn McCully has been commissioned to produce the edition of this. The 27 letters that are reproduced in the book in transcribed and translated version, take us to Bohemian Paris and also to the artistic world of Barcelona, but fundamentally they are a direct testimony of the affective ties and friendship that would last for many years.
