"Drawing in transformation", given by Joma

The workshop theme is focused on those forcibly displaced, migrants, death, the sea, travel, frontiers, rejection and acceptance as concepts. All of which taking as a starting point various works of the Museu Picasso, we will use strategies such as erasing and re-drawing, transforming the support and adding other elements to it, and at the same time exploring how images move us to unsuspected places.

On 15th March, the drawings of Joma and the participants of the workshop will come to life, and a session will be offered in which art and music converge.

Joma is a plastic artist and above all a graphic artist who counts on a long trajectory in the drawing of opinion and thought published in the press.  He has created a profound visual recreation of Homer’s world: The Odyssey (2007-2009) and The Iliad (2009-2013). Currently he is working on the performance of live drawing accompanied by improvising musicians, as well as drawing in transformation in the format of a projectable video.  The Metamorphosis of Ovid and One and others are two of the main projects being undertaken currently.
