In accordance with the extension of the Law on Historical Memory dated the 30th of January 2011, the sculpture "La Victòria" by sculptor Frederic Marès was removed from public thoroughfares. This sculpture had been part of the monolith-obelisk located in the middle of the intersection of Avinguda Diagonal and Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona since 1940.

From now on, the sculpture will be part of the collection of the History Museum of Barcelona.
