A reflection of the popular festival in 19th century Barcelona based on a study of membership in cultural associations, especially two of the most important recreational entities of the time: La Societat del Born (1858-1873) and El Niu Guerrer (1874-1936).
The exhibition is a capsule collection of the more than 1,500 documents inventoried and studied, which attest to the phenomenon of collective parody and irony and the dose of irreverence levelled by citizens critical of the established order.
