Mobile Services
This website gives you information on all the services that the Council puts at your disposal for use on your mobile phones. You will find 4 types of service:
- Mobile apps that you can download from the markets, depending on the platform: iPhone, Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry.
- Web apps specifically adapted for mobile phones and which you can access from your mobile's browser
- SMS services that you can use by sending an SMS to 217010
- SMS alerts that we can send you free, depending on the service you have subscribed to.
We will also keep you informed of any new developments and the main mobile news.

Barcelona becomes the world capital in mobile communications
Following its designation as Mobile World Capital, Barcelona has already been working to become a world benchmark in mobile technologies when it comes to business, recreation and culture.
Some fifty developers take part in the first "BCN Apps Jam"
The Council has co-organised a BCN Apps Jam meeting-competition, with Barcelona Digital, in which various teams vie with one another to design new city-related mobile applications. This is the first of a series of initiatives aimed at boosting and creating lines of action in the mobile sector.
