Barcelona market model is a model which is putting the markets through an important modernisation and remodelling process and which promotes a series of changes aimed at creating more competitive municipal markets, with modern facilities and the services citizens demand. The project involves 9 European cities and aims to implement good practices in each of them. Among other ideas it is also contemplating a 'European Markets' Day'.
