Public Competition for Construction on Three Markets

The BOP has published the announcements for the tender of three important markets in Barcelona: Guineueta, Sants, and Ninot.

On April 7, BOP published the criteria for the second phase of construction on the Sants and Ninot markets. Companies that wish to partake in the competition can do so until May 3.

In the case of Guineueta, the competition is open until April 20.

The Second Phase of Construction: Sants

This will consist of laying the foundation and structure up to the ground floor and will take approximately 7 months. The final phase of construction will occur in 2013.

The Second Phase of Construction: Ninot

Like Sants, Ninot is expected to take 7 months. During this period the market plot will be excavated, and the foundation and structure will be established until the ground floor. The entire project will also be completed in 2013.

Construction on the Guineueta Market

The Guineueta market remodel will be executed without the need for a provisional structure. The commercial/shopping mix will be adapted and reformed, and the logistical services and infrastructures will be considerably expanded.

The remodeled market will have a new Mercadona supermarket to facilitate buying and make it more competitive. It will also have more relation and visibility within the nearby communities. Construction is projected to be finished fall 2013.

is a service that lets users save bookmarks in a Google account. It allows users an opportunity to add notes and labels.
El meu Yahoo!
is a service that lets users create a customised home page that includes a search function, email, news and any information users can configure.
MSN Reporter
a participatory service that lets users with Windows Live - i.e. users registered with Messenger, Hotmail, Spaces and other Microsoft services - publish, comment on and promote news items.
La Tafanera
a Catalan-language portal for promoting news and blog notes that users can send and vote on for promotion to the home page.
