These officials chair the collective bodies of district government. They are appointed and dismissed by the Mayor from among the City Councillors at the proposal of the District Council, in accordance with the provisions of the Organic Regulations.
The District Councillors exercise the authority delegated by the Mayor in matters that are the prerogative of the Districts, without prejudice to the matters that pertain to the District Government bodies.
These officials are delegated functions by the District Councillors, the Chairs of the District Councils or the Mayor.
