The Museu Picasso with ESADE

The session took place on November 25, 2008, with the participation of some 50 graduates of all of the Master's courses in Public Management (EMPA) and a number of members of the teaching staff. The group was composed of directors of public companies and consortiums, various departments of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government), Barcelona City Council and other local authorities and agencies.

The director of the Museu Picasso, Pepe Serra, led a tour of the museum and the meeting ended with a dinner and discussion with Jordi Martí, Barcelona City Council's Delegate for Culture.

The topics discussed ranged from the strictly artistic aspect of the exhibition to the project of the Museu Picasso as an institution; from cultural management as an area of public policy to the importance of cultural elements-of organizational culture-in innovative projects in public management.

With this event, in addition to attracting a highly qualified public the Museu Picasso also assumes an active role as a forum for the debating of cultural policy. Many of those present had not visited the museum for some time and expressed very positive views on the new presentation of the collection and the project currently being implemented.
