Lecture - Dialogue

By Christopher Green exhibition Chief Curator and Professor of the History of Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art, London, and Elisabeth Cowling, Reader in History of Art, University of Edinburgh.

Christopher Green and Elizabeth Cowling will discuss the concept and installation of the exhibition Living Things: Picasso Figure / Still-life, as well as many of the issues raised in the catalogue, ranging from the question of metamorphosis and the 'living' and the 'dead' in Picasso's work to Picasso's compulsive use of repeated patterns and signs, and to the relationship between theatre and painting.
