"Educa amb l'Art" (Educate with Art) 2016 in the Museu Picasso

Educa amb l'Art is a training in performing arts, music, visual and plastic arts, with the aim of providing tools for social educators for using the arts in the everyday work of their centres with their users.

In the session in the Museu Picasso, Glòria Picazo will reflect on why the arts are important in the processes of social development and will talk about the role that they can play in the socio-educational centres, as well as in the museums and cultural facilities, with the need to develop ties and joint work, and the role of the educator in these proposals. By means of this experience, it will be proposed how the work based around creation can strengthen the development processes of personal autonomy, at the same time as generating a strong cohesion amongst the participants.

During the second part, Irene Pérez will put forward and propose at a practical level, transformative processes by means of art in which not only has a question of artistic production been proposed, but also the artistic process has been used for contemplating and collecting experiences, which once they have been developed can be shared both as unique and universal. Based on this experience of work with a specific collective, their work will be extrapolated to the possibilities that will be opened up to others.

February 20th 2016, from 9.30am to 2.00pm.
