To celebrate Saint George's Day, the Grec Festival of Barcelona and Casa Amèrica Catalunya are organising a joint activity to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the processes of Latin American independence: an uninterrupted reading of the Gabriel García Márquez novel The General in His Labyrinth in the museum's courtyard.

Around 80 volunteers will come in a staggered fashion to read aloud this book, which talks about the last seven months in the life of Simon Bolívar.
